As good as it gets

Here is a recap of my 3 1/2 year old son's day:

• Homemade pancakes for breakfast
• Shopping at Swain's for "hot wheelers" and rockets to give friend for his birthday
• School - learning about butterflies and "dirt worms"
• Snack at school that included birthday cookie
• Hardboiled egg whites and apple for lunch, followed by chocolate easter egg
• Decorating birthday package with crayons and markers
• Helping landscaper pull weeds in the sunshine
• Birthday party in the park with other friends from school
• Cupcakes & ice cream!
• Playdate at another park
• Bath
• Dinner with family: fish, new potatoes, zuchinni
• Treat! (licorice pigs)
• Video games
• "nursings"

"Sam, what was the best part of today?"

"Going to that cool birthday party."

"And what was the hardest part of today?"

"Nothing. Nothing was hard."

"What do you want to take to bed with you?"

"Nursings..."

The Aristocrats

I rented The Aristocrats tonight, which had two weeks of sold out midnight showings at The Rose a few months ago. After fifteen minutes I still hadn't laughed once -- not even grinned. I turned it off. I guess I am just not that cool.
