In praise of dental floss

I'm pretty sure I have never kept a New Year's resolution this long before. This year, I resolved to begin flossing daily. I am proud to say that my dental hygienist was suitably impressed with the results, and I experienced my first pain-free cleaning (as an adult, anyway). Six months ago I left their office in tears, with a mouthfull of bloody pulp. Yesterday, it was as if I had simply brushed my teeth.

I am a flossing believer!

Congratulations - seriously - on both A. keeping a resolution for 5+ months, and B. improving your dental hygiene. Both aspects are sure to make you feel great!

Ditto Kelly's Post. Flossing has really made a difference for us -- it's a lot cheaper than caps, which was where we were headed until we finally listened to the Hygienist and gave it a try. Not only that, but if you let your kids see you doing it, maybe they won't have to wait so long to have the habit, also. Sorry 'bout that:-(
